Angus King Voting Record

That’s My Congress rates King as more liberal than eleven United States Democratic Senators (and tied with three others), and also more liberal than every Republican Senator, although the site does put King at the liberal end of its “The Mushy Middle” category. (rankings for 113th Congress, January 3, 2013, to January 3, 2015)

According to Ballotpedia National Journal also ranked King as more liberal than eleven United States Democratic Senators, and more liberal than all United States Republican Senators also. (rankings 2013)

Govtrack ranks Senator King as more liberal than all of his Republican colleagues, and more liberal than six Democratic United States Senators (and tied with one other) (2015 report card)

Progressive Punch has only three Democratic United States Senators ranked more conservative than King, but this may well be because Progressive Punch gives King a 85.21 Overall Lifetime progressive score, but only a 68.87% Overall progressive score for 2017-2018 (It seems reasonable to expect that perhaps King is moving a bit more to the center recently with the election upcoming).

It’s interesting also where Senator King chooses to do his media interviews. Every single interview that King has done over the last eleven months listed on his US Senate website YouTube channel was conducted on either CNN or MSNBC (except for one recently on the parent network NBC rather than MSNBC).

Here are the chronologically most recent as of 5/15/17.

You get the idea. That’s less than two months. It goes on like this – only two networks – for at least the last 11 months and possibly longer (11 months is all I checked – I didn’t want to belabor the obvious pattern).
